The metric nut ltd
The metric nut ltd is Volkswagen service, repair and parts specialist based in Christchurch, New Zealand. They have recently opened a new premises in conjunction with Das Vintage Werks, a Volkswagen restoration service.
The brief was to create a user friendly site where users could shop online for goods. The site uses a shopping cart style approach, albiet without secure online transactions -- the order is submitted to the metric nut via email and payment is arranged after the order is received.
The products are broken up into categories, and there is also a section for new products. A details page, shows a larger description of the product and a small image. The product database is fully searchable.
The site was built using xHTML, PHP and uses a MySQL database to store product information.
