Fashion Jam

Ever bought a garment only to find you have nothing to wear with it? I reckon most women have.
I have just completed a job that involved working on a top to go with a skirt bought by a client. After not finding anything to buy to go with it, the client asked me to get her out of her "fashion jam". The brief; a wedding in Wanaka within the week and no ironing. A bit of a challenge really due to the unusual colour combination and the kids off school for term break.
I found a match by layering polyester knit fabrics which gave an easy fit. The skirt had a raw lace edge finish at the hem line so I kept this theme going in the top -- it has cut out shoulders and shell and glass beads around the neckline.
