DC-3 flight
Posted by: keet

On Friday Uncle Gareth and I went to Air Force World, to take a flight on the Southern DC-3. When we got there, we were early, so we went to the Air Force museum.
After looking at the aeroplanes, we went to wait for the flight and pay for our tickets. To my surprise, in walked Ritchie McCaw!

We boarded the DC-3 and flew over Christchurch, it was overcast so we didn't get to see the city, but did see the Port Hills and the full moon.

During the flight we were allowed to go forward to the cockpit. This DC-3 was one of the first to have an auto-pilot.
I had a fantastic time!
