Had a final day on the Karmann Ghia before taking a break from refinishing at Tech today (We're back in the Panel Shop for a few weeks). We gave the body another coat of epoxy primer to seal off the body filler, and then went to town with grey filler/undercoat. The grey looks blotchy because it has a 'guide' coat on the top to aid block sanding it smooth later on (Low spots show up more easily as they're darker).

Here's my tutor Peter Healey checking the surface temperature of the body after it was baked at 65°C, and before we lifted it out of the booth.

The Doors, bonnet and decklid have all been blocked back with P400 and are looking really straight and smooth. Here's hoping the body comes up as well.
